MARINE CORPS HISTORY
More than any other service, the United States Marine Corps takes pride in its heritage and traditions.  This
page is devoted to bringing you biographies of famous Marines and analyses of the Corps' most famous battles
and events.  You as well should take pride in those who have gone before you, for their triumphs and sacrifices
have created the standing legacy of an indomitable Corps.  The opportunity to serve in this outstanding
organization is a privilige that can only be appreciated by understanding its history.  None of these are official
histories, though all have been written with the utmost attention to accuracy and documentation.  Should you
