Marine Corps Aviation Option: This program is designed for students who are interested in becoming Marine Corps pilots. Those who qualify and are selected for this program will be guaranteed assignment to flight training for designation as a Marine Corps Aviator. You will be among the few people in the world qualified to wear the Marine Corps wings of gold.

You will push your own limits and those of your aircraft as you carry out the mission of Marine Corps Aviation doing everything imaginable to support the Marines on the Ground. With some aircraft capable of doubling the speed of sound, and often no more than 500 feet off the ground, you will clear the way for Marines advancing toward a target. Our ground troops are known as the tip of the spear, which makes our pilots and flight officers its gleaming and lethal point.

Naval Flight Officer Option: For those individuals who do not possess the eyesight to become a pilot but still have a passion for flight, the Naval Flight Officer (NFO) Program may be the option for you.

You will train for 8-10 months at flight school in Pensacola, FL, to master navigation, radar, on-board computer control and electronic warfare measures. Once assigned to an aircraft, you will provide the pilot with the vital information needed to fly through any conditions and accomplish the mission.

Prerequisites
- Aviation Selection Test Battery (ASTB)
- Pilot applicants must have vision 20/40 or better
- Naval Flight Officer (NFO) applicants have less stringent vision requirements
