Officer Candidate Course The Officer Candidate Course (OCC) program exists to give college seniors and graduates the opportunity to earn a commission as a Second Lieutenant. You have the option of selecting whether you want to serve in the Ground, Air, or Law component of the Marine Corps. We are the only branch of service that can offer guaranteed flight opportunities to qualified individuals. Upon graduation from Officer Candidates' School (OCS) you will have the opportunity to accept your commission in the Marine Corps. You will earn up to $5,000 for the 10 week course. When you accept your commission, you will receive an inclusive salary of approximately $49,000 per year. After OCS you will attend The Basic School (TBS) where you will select your Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) within your area of service (Air, Ground, Law). Once you are fully trained, you will join the fleet Marine Corps in active service. |
